You came and said, “We will be leaders and guides of the nation, and we will provide you with peace, service, and work opportunities.” But know this:
“You are weak, and this is a trust; and on the Day of Judgment it will be shame and regret; except for those who take it rightfully and fulfill their duties.”
I know that you are weak and do not have the ability to fulfill that heavy and honorable trust, which is serving the nation in a way that is good for you and beneficial for the people.
You inherited these positions of power through luck and inheritance from your fathers, without any charisma, wisdom, or competence. You have fallen into worldly luxuries and privileges. Otherwise, in the best case, you wouldn’t even be able to earn your own bread, let alone that of six million people!
You are a group of parasitic people imposed on the current reality of Kurdistan. It is the external agenda, the silence of the nation, and the lack of unity among dissenting voices outside of you that has kept you in power – not your own abilities!
This message expresses the thoughts and feelings of every ordinary, oppressed citizen. But perhaps few of us remain who can tell you directly, without sugar-coating and without any twists, that you are a heavy burden on the shoulders, minds, and bodies of the nation, and demand that you leave.
I can tell you that you are on the edge of a cliff, and it won’t be long before you and the nation fall because of this mixture of arrogance, ignorance, and oppression.
You have stuffed your family and clan members throughout the government structure, and have done nothing to institutionalize your governance.
Much has been said about salaries and basic living rights that you still cannot provide to citizens. But my attention goes further to the political future and the foundations and institutions of the Kurdistan government, which is the root of these current living, environmental, and economic problems!
You view Kurdistan as the private property of your families. You have monopolized the government buildings and presidencies for yourselves, which are public property. You have taken away ownership rights from every other citizen who deserves to serve as president and leader of the country, even in matters related to national security and revenue.
I ask: if tomorrow someone other than the Barzani party and family became president of the region or government, where would the protocols of governance and presidency be implemented, and where would they start their work? You have privatized everything for yourselves and your families! Nechirvan Barzani said in a TV interview that this current 400-acre property of the regional presidency building is registered as property of the party’s political bureau! The same goes for the government presidency building! And the same pattern applies to other facilities!
So the nation must understand that you came to stay and strengthen your own positions, not to serve the nation and build a state system.
You are strengthening the family and clan system, not the governance system.
You still haven’t thought of establishing a national media institution, which is the main face and the eyes, heart, and ears of modern governance! Instead, you have established a bunch of party and family channels!
O Nation!
The KDP and PUK have what’s in their treasury , they don’t want to repair the situation – but what about you, citizen?! Why you are still silent ?!
What’s strange is that the nation still hasn’t thought about this and strongly protects itself from the issue of not removing these two main parties from the political scene, who have no benefit for the nation – they haven’t, don’t, and won’t!
An unanswered question!
