A response to the message of Masoud Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP)!

Return the wealth you have stolen.. then talk to me about dignity..!! 

Mr. Masoud Barzani 

Your petroleum wells are for us… dignity is for you!!  

Your oil companies and refineries are for us… dignity is for you!!  

The smuggling oil money, border crossings and taxes are for us…  

300,000 barrels of dignity are for you daily!!  

Your private jets are for us… dignity is for you!!  

Your banks are for us… dignity is for you again!!

Your villas and palaces are for us… endless dignity is for you!!  

Your luxury cars are for us… tenths of dignity depots  for you!!  

Your resorts and summer homes are for us… dignity is for you!!  

Your inflated salaries in Baghdad are for us… a hundred camels load of dignity is for you!!  

Power, horses, cars, companies, universities, and bodyguards of your children are for our kids, Brother,dignity is for you!!  

Only then will I respect the dignity you speak of!!*  

Dignity means a person should have ( value, honor, and worth), not to be a begger. When you return the wealth you’ve stolen, then I will respect your morals and ethics, because the essence of dignity is ( integrity, humanity and values).

I am sure that once you lose these privileges, you will finally understand what it means to protect dignity and how hard and painful humiliation is.  

But as they say: “Everyone seeks what they lack!”

This is the biggest corruption in the history of KDP and PDKs’ rule. 

In the past 30 months,  KDP and PUK have sold around 260 million barrels of oil- not a single dinar was given to the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Finance Ministry, nor to Iraq’s Federal Finance Ministry. Instead, they divided the profits among themselves.  

Now, Baghdad’s Finance Ministry has considered all that oil money as part of the people of Kurdistan salaries and budget (the document lists every single barrels).  

According to the Iraqi Finance Ministry’s report—backed by joint audits from Kurdistan’s and Baghdad’s oversight agencies—the estimated value of the smuggled oil sold by the KDP and PUK is 9,414,000,000,000 dinars (9 trillion, 414 billion dinars) and Baghdad counted on the Kurdistans’ employees.,this amount covers nine months of salaries for public employees.  

Both sides PDK, PUK and Baghdad are oppressing the Kurdish people. They want to steal Kurdistan’s oil and withhold salaries from the people.

Baghdad’s injustice is that instead of punishing the KDP and PUK for smuggling oil, they are punishing Kurdistan’s employees by cutting their salaries. 

What Baghdad is doing is mostly oppression. And what is KDP and PUK are doing is mostly corruption.

In the end, as a civil activist, I call on journalists, writers, intellectuals, and all patriots who love Kurdistan and Iraq to stand together and support the public employees of Kurdistan, and condemn the injustice of cutting their salaries by both the Iraqi and Kurdistan Regional Governments.

1. Support public employees and condemn the salary cuts by the Iraqi and Kurdistan governments.  

2. Instead of punishing public employees of Kurdistan, the Kurdistan authorities must be punished by closing the borders where the region’s oil is illegally sold.  

3. We kindly requesting the United Nations to  pressure both governments (Baghdad and Erbil) to immediately solve the salary crisis of Kurdistan Region.

4. All political parties, officials , Shia, Sunni and kurdish who are responsible of cutting salaries, smuggling oil and looting the Nation’s wealth must be prosecuted.
