The word “war” once belonged to the history books—something we studied, not something we expected to experience. But today, in the modern Middle East, it has become a grim part of daily vocabulary, deeply rooted in fascist ideologies and unjust power dynamics.
Nations have not been taught the fundamental principles of democracy. The idea that every nation has the right to self-determination remains a distant dream for many. Every people should have sovereignty over their ancestral lands, as was once recognized throughout history. Every nation and every faith community has the right to practice its beliefs freely and without oppression. No one nation is holier than another, and no person should be persecuted or stripped of their life under the guise of religion.
As long as imperialist states refuse to abandon their greed for the wealth and resources of this region, and as long as the people of this region do not collectively realize that peaceful coexistence is far more meaningful than violence and war, the suffering will persist.
As long as people refuse to compromise on basic rights and reject diplomacy as the path to resolving conflicts—choosing instead violence and destruction—this region will continue to bleed. Sadly, one war merely leads to another, and true peace never shines upon this land.
In conclusion, what matters most is the safety of civilians and the well-being of the diverse peoples of this region. I sincerely hope Kurdistan does not become a battlefield. The Kurdish people must not be dragged into yet another unjust and ruinous situation—because in truth, the Kurdish nation is exhausted from war.
