Dakok Organization Leads Environmental Cleanup in Castlecroft

On Monday, April 1, 2024, a team of environmental volunteers from the Birmingham Council of Dakok Organization, in collaboration with local environmentalist Mr. John, a member of Friends of the Smestow, conducted an environmental cleanup campaign in the Castlecroft area.

The team, comprising thirteen dedicated members, devoted three hours to the initiative, during which they collected plastic bottles, nylon, paper, and other waste. In addition, they washed and cleaned the signs on the walls of Castlecroft Bridge, helping to preserve this important historical landmark.

Notably, Castlecroft Bridge recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, making this cleanup effort a valuable contribution to both the environmental and cultural preservation of the area.
