Statement of Dakok Organization on the occasion of Eid al-Adha

Dakok Organization congratulates the Kurdish people and Muslims of the world on the coming of Eid al-Adha.

In fact, the holiday is not only a symbolic ceremony for us, but also an opportunity to stand up against the bitter reality imposed on our nation due to corruption, lack of transparency and wrong policies of the authorities.

It is remarkable that those who daily turn the lives of citizens into hell by oppression, use of force and corruption, today celebrate the holiday with the utmost hypocrisy.

For us advocates, sacrifice means giving and perseverance and we must learn from it.

We emphasize that freedom and justice cannot be achieved by shiny speeches and false congratulations, but they need to end the oppressive system that has sacrificed Kurdish human dignity to party and personal interests.

We hope this holiday will be the beginning of greater awareness in society and create civil pressure to remove the oppression that is being carried out at the hands of those who consider themselves the owners of this country.

The true feast is the day of prosperity and the end of Satan’s oppression.
