Often, the people of Kurdistan praise Nechirvan Barzani’s efforts and believe he is a diplomatic character within the party and the Barzani family tribe. However, in reality, he is an extremist politician who weakens and marginalizes his opponents through soft threats.
Nechirvan’s nature is soft, flexible, and calm, but he often exploits his natural characteristics, and in order to protect the authority and interests of his party and family, he resorts to threatening and taking revenge against his rival parties.
In recent days, at one of his election campaign speeches, an enthusiastic young man calls out to Nechirvan Barzani saying “Don’t be compassionate to the PUK (Patriotic Union of Kurdistan),” to which he responds with a smile, “Well, we won’t be compassionate to them.” This response reveals Nechirvan’s inner malice, hostility, and extremism toward his opponents.
Sometimes, by granting positions, posts, or money, he distances his opponents from being a threat to himself and his party. Whenever political, security, military, or economic pressure falls upon his party or his family, he quickly resumes negotiations and he is ready to grant his opponents high positions or imaginary sums of money. To the people, this appears to be diplomacy, but in reality, it is manipulation and deception of his opponents in order to protect the interests of his party and family.
There is much evidence and many examples available to prove that Nechirvan Barzani, under the guise of diplomacy, has carried out several extremist actions against his opponents. However, because he often speaks in smooth language and with laughter, people interpret him as a diplomat and politician. But in essence, he is a manipulative and extremist politician who always places the interests of his party and family above everything else.
