On 28 May 2025, in the heart of the United Kingdom, Dakok Organization held a highly impactful professional seminar titled “Legal Awareness”, reaffirming its role as a forward-thinking, community-driven organization committed to empowering the Kurdish diaspora.
The seminar featured esteemed speakers:
- Mr. Saman Jaf
- Mr Karwan Dartash
- Mr. Twana Setalani
It was attended by a large number of young people, civil society participants, and active members of the Dakok Organisation.
This seminar was designed with a clear mission: to enhance the legal understanding and civic awareness of Kurdish youth in the UK. Participants gained valuable insights into British legal frameworks, the structure of the educational system, and the societal responsibilities expected of individuals living in this country. The event also shed light on the critical role of activism and organisational work in building resilient communities.
A Platform for Progress
As an organisation, Dakok has consistently demonstrated leadership in cultivating informed, engaged, and responsible citizens. By organising such seminars, Dakok provides a crucial platform for capacity building, professional development, and civic engagement—particularly for the younger generation.
These initiatives go beyond education; they represent a strategic investment in the future of the Kurdish community. By equipping youth with knowledge, confidence, and a sense of purpose, Dakok helps foster a generation capable of contributing meaningfully to both the UK and Kurdistan.

A Collective Responsibility
The seminar also served as a call to action: to recognise that youth are not just the future—they are the present. Their energy, talent, and potential must be nurtured and guided. It is the shared responsibility of every individual and institution to ensure that these capabilities are not left untapped.
Dakok Organisation stands as a model of what committed, community-based leadership can achieve. Through continuous educational, legal, and social initiatives, it ensures that no one is left behind, and that the Kurdish voice in the diaspora grows stronger, more informed, and more united.
