Shakib Shahab Mamand – Activists
As is evident, any regime that is undemocratic and oppressive leads to the destruction of its people’s rights, with the imposition of a pathway that offers no escape. Every time authority falls into the hands of tyrants, even those who once fought for justice under the rule of dictatorship and oppression, they do not escape their own demise.
During the height of dictatorship, many individuals only exchanged their integrity for money, while those countries that had once sheltered these authorities in the past failed to protect or support those who sought refuge. Inevitably, as the curtain falls on this tyrannical system, justice, truth, and moral conscience will triumph over the chaos and corruption of dictators and authoritarian rulers.
What is unfolding in Kurdistan today is nothing more than the consolidation of power and the division of the region into zones of control. The systematic exploitation of the Kurdish people, the siphoning of their wealth, and the suppression of activists and citizens are clear indicators of a regime that serves only its self-interests. This is the true face of dictatorship. No one desires to be born into oppression and to see their land and nation destroyed if the power of justice and fairness prevails.
I hope that the activists and members of Dakok will continue to engage with a strong sense of responsibility and living conscience in their efforts, ensuring that the voices of justice and freedom are heard by those who seek a free and democratic future for the people of Kurdistan.
