The struggle and sacrifices of the people were ultimately betrayed when we came face to face with the harsh reality of your rule. You withheld food and fuel, and instead invested in the expansion of your own bodies and comfort. You consumed the rightful sustenance of the people — public oil wealth became the private property of the few. Your extravagance was nourished by our blood, while our blood became the victim of your corruption and greed.
The oil of Kurdistan, which should have belonged to all, became an exclusive asset — seized under the pretext of “public interest” but in reality serving private empires. Today, not a single national resource remains in the name of the public. Even oil has become personal property, and a tool for the suppression of rights.
I can say publicly and unequivocally: the looting of oil wealth has always come at the cost of the poor. Thousands of villages rest upon oil fields of prosperity, while you continue looting without even a semblance of fairness. At night, oil is smuggled away under the shadow of darkness; by day, you deliver polished speeches full of empty promises to a weary public.
We have the right to speak. We have the right to expose. But what you seek is our permanent silence. You sell the nation’s oil to foreign buyers and leave nothing behind for the very people whose land produces that wealth.
