Dakok Organization Hosts Seminar on “Youth and the Challenges of Life in The UK”
On Thursday, March 10, 2024, Dakok Organization conducted a seminar titled “Youth and the Challenges of Life in Tarawa,” featuring esteemed speakers Abdullah Siktani, Qadir Balbas, and Gona Rashid.
The seminar emphasized the critical role of youth in society and the significance of time management and planning during this pivotal stage of life. Speakers highlighted the necessity of setting clear objectives to successfully navigate the challenges faced by young individuals, particularly when adapting to a new environment where they may initially feel disconnected from their surroundings.
A key discussion point centered on the risks young people encounter, including involvement in illegal activities and substance abuse. The seminar addressed the severe consequences of such behaviors, including imprisonment, homelessness, and social alienation, stressing the importance of making informed choices to secure a stable and successful future.
Qadir Balbas, Supervisor of the Manchester Council of Dakok Organization, stated to Dakok Media:
